Let me tell you about myself - VIV WILSON MBE

In the past half century, I have taken countless photographs, many finding their way into slide shows for the public and others into local newspapers and magazines in South Devon. The majority are of Teignmouth and the surrounding area and many appear in the ten books I have put together.

I founded The Wilson Archive of Teignmouth in 1986 and have focussed my energies into revitalising interest in this lovely old resort. In 2004, HM The Queen honoured me with an MBE for services to the community through local history.

I write a weekly Bygones feature in Teignmouth Post.

Many people who are doing their family trees need photographs of a particular building or street. I may be able to supply an image taken in the past, or send you a current image or even a mini-film on DVD of the area where your family had its roots.

What next?

We can arrange collection and delivery between Heirloom and your home. Once the copy and edit work is done to your requirements, it is put onto a DVD for you.

How much will it cost?

A deposit of £30 is required at the outset.

A direct copy from cine film to DVD with no edits costs £10 per 200 feet plus despatch costs.

A direct copy from VHS to DVD costs £15 plus despatch costs.

It is £20 per hour to edit the material - cut out the poor bits, add titles and music and general enhancement.

Old photographs can be scanned, improved and put into a musical slide show on DVD.

Length of original material and level of refinement are assessed and an estimated is prepared.

All other tasks are priced individually.
